Are You Festival Ready??

Flowers are blooming and the temperature is rising, you know what that means?? Spring is here and it's officially outdoor concert (Coachella anyone??) and festival time!! Despite the crazy pollen count here in Atlanta, we could not be more excited.

Once you have narrowed it down to which concerts and festivals you will be attending, the hardest part is deciding what to wear. The most important thing to remember when choosing the perfect outfit is comfort. Being outside all day means being in the sun and on your feet for long periods of time. Check out a few of our favorite festival outfits and comment below and let us know what you will be wearing this Spring/Summer.

A flowy maxi skirt is the epitome of comfort. Whether you choose a solid or a bright print, either way you can't go wrong. Throw on with a basic seamless tank or a lace cami and you have the perfect festival outfit. Layer on accessories and a cross-body bag and you are ready for a day of eating, drinking and listening to great music.

Denim in any shape or form is a huge trend this season! This chambray dress is an easy throw-on-and-go dress, just add a pop of color with your shoes or handbag. We are loving these cut-off shorts with the crochet vest for a more boho look. Add stacks of bangles and a long necklace to complete both of these looks.

Here at Sage we are OBSESSED with lace shorts and these are definitely topping our must-have list. Add a bright colored tank with a scarf and grab a denim jacket for when the sun goes down.

If you aren't lucky enough to make it to California for Coachella, here is a list of some top festivals here in Atlanta:
Dogwood Festival April 19-21
Sweetwater Festival April 19-21
Inman Park Festival April 26-28
Atlanta Jazz Festival May 25-27

25 Fashion Tips Every Woman Should Know

The world of fashion can be very overwhelming. Trying to keep up with ever changing trends while still looking stylish and pulled together (and avoiding any fashion don'ts) can be very exhausting. We compiled a list of the top 25 fashion tips and tricks that every woman should know to help keep you looking your best at all times.

1. Wash new jeans twice before getting them hemmed. This is because jeans always shrink in length when they are washed.

2. Lycra is the secret to finding the best fitting everyday clothes. What to look for: 95% cotton and 5% Lycra spandex for tee-shirts and at least 2% Lycra for denim to hold their shape.

3. Spilled red wine on your favorite pants? No worries. Dab some white wine onto the spot and voila! the stain is gone.

4. This is a personal favorite: Organize your clothes going from light to dark and from left to right. Your eye will follow the color and help keep you organized.

5. Spray tights with sticky (cheap) hairspray to avoid any holes and runs.

6.  Double stick tape works wonders! This is a must-have in every handbag! You can easily shorten a hem, hold up a strapless top, or eliminate a blouse gap.

7. The best at-home method to keep those diamonds sparkling: a little liquid dishwashing soap and an old toothbrush.

8. To clean dirt off suede, remove the crust from a piece of bread and leave it out so that it gets stale. Gently rub the dirt and stains with the edge of the stale bread and they will disapear. To de-scuff suede, use an eraser or nail file.

9. Spanx!! Every woman should own at least one pair of Spanx no matter what size you are. The Skinny Britches are perfect under dresses and the reversible tights are a must have in the Fall/Winter.

10. When getting jeans hemmed, ask to have the 'New York hem'. This is when they keep the original hem. It does cost a little more, but it's worth it!

11.  Add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar to the final rinse cycle while washing your favorite dark jeans. This will help keep the dark color.

12. Unless they are cropped or tapered, pants should just graze the tops of your shoes and be 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch off the floor.

13. To remove water marks from leather boots, add a few drops of vinegar to a bowl of cold water and scrub stains with a soft bristle brush until the stains are no longer visible. Let the boots dry overnight.

14. Want to look chic while still showing some skin? If you are wearing a miniskirt or shorts, cover up on top. If the top is skimpy, go for full coverage on the bottom.

15.  The best way to store fashion jewelry (including sterling silver) is in ziploc bags. This helps keep the  luster and reduces tarnish and scratches. (Another tip: if your silver jewelry turns your skin green, paint clear nail polish on it.)

16. To determine if pearls are real, lightly rub them over your teeth. Fake pearls will feel perfectly smooth while real ones will have a gritty texture.

17. Every day bras should be replaced every 3-6 months. That is when they start to lose their elasticity and support.

18.  V-neck sweaters and tee shirts give the illusion of a longer torso.

19.  Use shaving cream and a washcloth to remove liquid makeup from shirt collars.

20.  Freeze jeans inside a plastic bag for 2 days to eliminate odor without having to wash them.

21. Wear your new real leather jacket in the rain to break it in. Water will soften the leather and allow it to stretch and crease giving it that worn in feeling.

22. When in doubt, always go for the small size when buying denim because they will stretch as you wear them. (Tip: they should initially feel like they just came out of the dryer-tight but not uncomfortable.)

23. Want to give the appearance of longer legs? Wear nude pumps, they will make your legs look inches longer. Dark shoes will make your legs look shorter.

24. Use hairspray to remove that stubborn lipstick stain.

25. To prevent clothes from wrinkling in a suitcase, fold everything in plastic dry cleaning bags.
