How to Wear Scarves this Fall

Cooler weather means cozy sweaters and fabulous scarves. A great scarf is the perfect accessory for any outfit. Wear them to add color to a basic outfit, with jeans and a tee, with a LBD or throw one on just because! Check out a few of our favorite types of scarves and how to wear them.

This gold scarf has sequins woven into the fabric which makes it easy to dress up or down. We draped it around the neck and added a belt to eliminate any bulkiness and to give the effect of a vest. (Also available in black, $32.)

This crochet scalloped scarf is from local artist Stephanie Heflin of  Troo Designs. Troo is a fast paced, cutting edge clothing and accessory company that strives to be the "go to" piece in your closet that is guaranteed to make you smile. Not sure about you, but this scarf definitely puts a smile on our faces! :) For this picture we folded the scarf in half, wrapped it around her neck and then pulled the lose side through the folded side. An infinity scarf can be the easiest to wear. Simply loop around your head 2 or 3 times depending how short you want it to lay. We love the open knit style and neutral color of this Troo scarf. (Also available in black, $52). 

This light weight scarf from Troo Designs can easily be worn casual or dressed up. We tide a loose knot at each end. Simple and easy but it looks as though you spent hours getting ready. (Also available in taupe, $34.)

This fabulous 'lil number was on Oprah's favorites list!! And it is definitely on ours too. This large pashmina-type scarf has a beautiful sequin and mesh detail along the edge and can be worn wrapped around the neck with the sequin detail left hanging in the front. This looks great over a simple top and jeans or drape over your shoulders to keep you warm in a sexy dress. (Also available in brown with silver and gray with charcoal, $52.)

How to Wear Trendy Fall Prints

It is officially Fall and we couldn't be more excited! Prints are a huge trend for Fall and we have picked our 3 favorite prints to show you how to wear them.

Burnt orange and cobalt blue are big colors this season. This bell sleeve sweater dress from Angie mixes both colors into the fun geometric pattern. Layer on a faux leather jacket from RD Style, and for those cool nights ahead add textured tights and slouchy knee high boots. Don't forget a small cross-body handbag to complete the look.

How fun are these Fair Isle print leggings from Angie??!! They are super cozy and can be worn with any color. Since the pants are so busy it is best to pair this print with a solid top. We layered them with a cream button down, basic black seamless tank, and black wedge booties. Top off the look with a rust colored scarf. 

Spice up this black and white geo print sweater with a colored skinny jean. The Level 99 skinny straight leg in Plum is super comfortable and will transform this classic sweater into a trendy look for Fall. Since we already have a print and color in this outfit, we like it paired best with a neutral shoe and scarf so the look doesn't get too busy and overwhelming.
